Indianapolis, IN – Central Indiana will see a burst of warm, breezy weather heading into the weekend, with highs well above normal on Friday and Saturday before a cold front brings cooler air by Sunday. Temperatures Friday will range from 61 to 67 degrees under partly cloudy skies, with isolated morning showers possible mainly across southern Indiana.
According to the National Weather Service Indianapolis office, the warmest day of the weekend will be Saturday, when highs climb into the lower to mid-70s across the region. Winds will increase through the afternoon, with gusts between 20 and 30 mph making conditions feel more blustery at times. Scattered showers may develop late in the day, especially across southeast parts of central Indiana.
By Sunday, the cold front moves through, dropping highs back to near-normal values in the low to mid-50s. Skies will turn mostly sunny, but the cooler air will be noticeable after two days of unusually warm November weather. Overnight lows fall into the upper 30s and low 40s.
While a few chances for rain linger over the coming days, forecasters say the best opportunities remain early Friday in the south and late Saturday across the southeast.
