Indianapolis, Indiana – Drivers across Indiana may encounter patchy fog through mid-morning Wednesday, followed by a few isolated afternoon showers or storms before conditions settle into a quiet and warming trend through the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, skies will remain partly cloudy for much of the state today, with highs ranging from 84° to 88° and lows in the mid-60s. While an isolated storm may pop up this afternoon, widespread rainfall is not expected. Conditions will become more stable Thursday through Saturday, but humidity levels will rise alongside temperatures.

Partly cloudy skies will dominate through Friday, with daytime highs pushing into the upper 80s across central and southern Indiana. Northern counties including Tippecanoe, Delaware, and Howard may stay slightly cooler but will still trend warmer than early-week readings.

With dew points creeping into the upper 60s by Friday night, those sensitive to heat should plan accordingly. Hydrate, limit outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours, and keep cooling devices on standby as humidity builds.

No active watches or warnings are currently in effect, but updates may follow if storm chances return late in the weekend.
