Indianapolis, Ind. – Central Indiana is set for a stretch of dry, comfortable weather with gradually warming temperatures through the week. After a cool night in the upper 40s, highs will rise from the upper 70s Tuesday to the mid-80s by Wednesday and Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, clear skies will dominate through the weekend, with no measurable rain expected for at least the next seven days. Lows will stay seasonably cool in the 50s, making for refreshing mornings before warming afternoons.

The lack of rain will benefit outdoor events, commutes, and late-summer farm work across Marion, Hamilton, and Hendricks counties. Drivers should enjoy dry roads, while those with evening plans will want a light jacket as temperatures dip quickly after sunset.

Residents are advised to take advantage of the stretch of sunshine for yardwork or travel, but also to stay hydrated as midweek heat pushes toward the upper 80s. With warm days and cool nights, power demand should remain moderate, easing stress on utilities.

The next significant weather change is not expected until early next week, when forecasters will reassess rain chances.
