Indianapolis, Ind. – Much of Indiana will wake up to a chill Sunday night as temperatures dip into the low- to mid-40s, marking the coolest stretch of the weekend. Cities like Bloomington, Lafayette, and Muncie will bottom out near 43 to 46 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Forecasters say this Canadian air mass will ease by Monday night, with temperatures moderating into the upper 40s before climbing into the low 80s by Tuesday afternoon. The weather service added that conditions will stay rain-free through the upcoming weekend, giving Hoosiers a dry stretch for travel and outdoor plans.
Drivers may want a jacket for the Monday morning commute, particularly in rural and low-lying areas where the chill will feel more pronounced. With no rain in the forecast, outdoor activities and sports events will continue without disruption, though cooler evenings may have fans reaching for blankets at stadiums.
The National Weather Service says the biggest shift comes midweek, when warmer air replaces the chill, and highs return to the 80s. More updates are expected if temperature swings intensify later in the week.
