Indianapolis Police Quickly Arrest Suspect in Tuesday Homicide

Indianapolis, IN – IMPD Homicide Detectives have swiftly arrested an 18-year-old suspect in connection with a homicide that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

According to IMPD, officers responded to a shooting around 3:00 p.m. in the 4400 block of Braemar Drive and found a juvenile male with a gunshot wound. Indianapolis EMS declared the victim deceased at the scene.

Detectives identified Jakari Bibbs as a suspect through witness statements and forensic evidence. Bibbs was located and arrested on Thursday, August 1st, on charges of reckless homicide and pointing a firearm. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will make the final charging decision.
