Indianapolis, IN – Two men were arrested Wednesday near East 25th St. and North Mitthoefer Road following an investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes Task Force (VCTF). Authorities detained 32-year-old James Hopkins and 27-year-old Craig Cooper in connection with firearms and narcotics offenses.
According to the IMPD, detectives discovered 124 grams of cocaine, 26 grams of marijuana, a stolen Beretta handgun, and a Glock with a machine gun conversion device during a vehicle search. Hopkins and Cooper, both classified as serious violent felons, face multiple charges. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will determine final charges.
