Indianapolis Police Arrest Suspect in Double Murder Investigation

Indianapolis, IN – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) detectives have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting deaths of 22-year-old JaiShawn Darell Johnson and 3-year-old Armonie Booker, who were killed in August.

According to police, the shooting occurred on Monday, August 26, just before 10 p.m. in the 7300 block of Shadeland Avenue. Officers responding to reports of gunfire found Johnson and Booker inside a vehicle. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene, while Booker, critically injured, died shortly after arriving at a hospital.

Following a months-long investigation, detectives identified 22-year-old William Paschall-Young as the alleged suspect. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office charged him with two counts of murder on September 6. Paschall-Young was apprehended Saturday during a traffic stop in the 300 block of N. Sherman Drive, according to IMPD.
