Indianapolis, IN – Police arrested two suspects in connection with an armed robbery and carjacking Sunday night. Leandrew Beasley, 18, and Derrick Johnson, 19, are accused of participating in the incident, though they remain innocent until proven guilty.
IMPD officers responded to reports of a robbery in the 1500 block of North Alabama Street at around 10:25 p.m. Four masked individuals allegedly held the victim at gunpoint, stealing personal belongings before fleeing in the victim’s car.
According to IMPD, officers used Automated License Plate Readers to track the vehicle, leading to a pursuit. The suspects crashed the car and attempted to flee on foot. Johnson was arrested, while Beasley was later located using a drone.
