Indianapolis, IN – Central Indiana residents can expect a picture-perfect fall weekend, with sunshine, mild temperatures, and cool evenings continuing through the Columbus Day holiday, according to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.

Forecasters say today will be partly to mostly cloudy, with highs in the low to mid-70s. Skies will clear by Sunday, allowing temperatures to reach the mid-70s and overnight lows in the mid-40s. Monday will stay mostly clear with highs near 77°F and lows around 50°F.

The region’s dry pattern is expected to persist well into next week, making for ideal conditions for outdoor plans, sports, and travel. No rain or severe weather is anticipated.

Residents are reminded that cooler nights may bring early morning fog in low-lying areas, but otherwise skies should remain clear and calm.
