Indianapolis, Indiana – A mix of haze and sunshine will define the weekend across central Indiana as wildfire smoke drifts in from Canada, limiting visibility but not spoiling pleasant weather.

According to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, highs will hold steady between 77°F and 82°F through Sunday, with overnight lows in the mid-50s. The majority of smoke will remain aloft, reducing air quality slightly but posing minimal surface-level health risks.

Skies will stay partly cloudy today and Saturday, clearing by Sunday. Humidity continues to drop, making for ideal late-summer comfort across cities like Bloomington, Lafayette, and Muncie.

Though most outdoor activities remain safe, sensitive individuals—especially those with asthma or heart conditions—should consider limiting prolonged exposure during peak haze periods.

Humidity will increase again early next week, with scattered storm chances beginning Monday afternoon.
