Indianapolis, IN – Partly cloudy skies tonight will allow temperatures to fall into the middle to upper 30s across central Indiana. Sunshine returns Sunday, bringing a mild afternoon with highs in the mid-to-upper 50s.
According to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, conditions remain quiet through most of Monday before a weather system moves in late Monday night. Rain is expected to continue into early Tuesday morning, pushing highs Tuesday into the upper 50s to lower 60s before colder air arrives midweek.
By Wednesday, temperatures drop noticeably, with highs falling into the low-to-mid 40s and overnight lows dipping into the 20s. The real chill sets in on Thanksgiving Day, which is forecast to be dry but significantly colder. Highs will only reach the low-to-mid 30s, with early morning temperatures in the upper teens to lower 20s.
The cold pattern continues into Friday with highs hovering in the mid-30s to lower 40s. Skies will feature a mix of clouds and sun as the region settles into a quiet but wintry end to the holiday week.
Travelers and holiday planners can expect no precipitation on Thanksgiving Day itself, but should prepare for the coldest temperatures of the season so far.
