Indianapolis, IN – Central Indiana is set for another stretch of warm, dry weather this week, with temperatures running more than 10 degrees above the seasonal average, according to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.
Forecasters said Monday will be the warmest day of the week, with highs reaching near 89 degrees under sunny skies. The rest of the week will remain warm, with highs of 85 on Tuesday, 82 on Wednesday, and 80 on Thursday. Low temperatures are expected to stay in the low to mid-50s overnight.
According to the National Weather Service, a slight cool-down is expected toward midweek, but even then, conditions will remain far above early October’s typical highs in the low 70s. No rain is in the forecast through Thursday, keeping Indiana’s warm and dry pattern firmly in place.
While the dry weather offers plenty of opportunity for outdoor activities, forecasters caution that the extended lack of rainfall could heighten fire danger in some areas if conditions persist.
Residents should expect mostly sunny skies through Wednesday, with partly cloudy conditions moving in on Thursday.
