Indianapolis, IN – A 25-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a 2021 double homicide that left two young women dead on the city’s northeast side.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), detectives with the Unsolved Homicide Unit arrested Tadjiah Davis on Tuesday for her alleged involvement in the shooting deaths of 21-year-old Ashanti Robinson and 23-year-old Patrice Jones. The women were found outside in the 4000 block of N. Cordell Street shortly after midnight on March 1, 2021. Both had been shot and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators initially worked the case as an active homicide before reassigning it to the Unsolved Homicide Unit. Through continued investigation, detectives identified Davis as a suspect, IMPD said. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office reviewed the findings, and a warrant was issued for Davis’ arrest on two counts of murder.

On September 2, IMPD’s Violent Crimes Unit, with assistance from the department’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team, located Davis in the 4400 block of Patricia Street. Police said she was taken into custody without incident.

The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will make the final determination on charging decisions. Authorities emphasized that Davis, like any person under arrest, is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
