Fort Wayne, IN – Dangerous winter conditions will persist across northern Indiana on Wednesday, with black ice, subzero wind chills, and snow creating hazardous travel. Motorists should drive cautiously, as untreated roads may be icy, especially on north-south routes exposed to open fields.

According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, with a high of 21°F. Winds will remain light but shift northwest in the afternoon. A 40% chance of snow arrives Wednesday night, bringing slick roads and reduced visibility.

Thursday remains cold, with a high near 23°F and a slight chance of flurries in the afternoon. Overnight lows will dip to 12°F. The coldest night comes Friday, with single-digit wind chills, but a weekend warm-up is on the way.

Saturday will see highs near 30°F, followed by a more noticeable rise Sunday, reaching 37°F. By Monday, temperatures could top 40°F, signaling the departure of the arctic front.

Drivers should remain cautious midweek but can expect improved conditions by the weekend.
