Indianapolis, IN – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Indianapolis has issued a forecast predicting daily chances of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the next few days, with the greatest likelihood occurring on Wednesday.

According to the NWS, temperatures are expected to remain near seasonal averages for this time of year. Today’s high will reach 83°F with a 30% chance of thunderstorms. Tuesday’s forecast indicates a high of 84°F with a 30% chance of thunderstorms. By Wednesday, the chance of thunderstorms increases to 50% with a high of 85°F.

The extended forecast shows a continuing trend of warm and partly cloudy conditions. On Thursday, temperatures will hit a high of 84°F with mostly sunny skies. Friday will see a slight cooling with a high of 83°F under partly cloudy skies.

Looking ahead to the weekend, both Saturday and Sunday will feature highs in the mid-80s, with partly cloudy to mostly sunny conditions. The early part of next week suggests warmer temperatures, with Monday reaching 91°F and Tuesday at 90°F, both under mostly sunny skies. By Wednesday, temperatures are forecasted to rise to 94°F with a mix of sun and clouds.
