Fort Wayne, IN – Residents across Northern Indiana should brace for a mix of rain, wind, and snow throughout the week, impacting roadways like I-69 and US 30. Rain will linger into Wednesday evening, with temperatures plummeting and light snow likely by Thursday morning, creating slippery conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, rain showers are expected to taper off by Tuesday night, followed by cooling temperatures and breezy winds. Wednesday will bring a high near 50°F before rain transitions to a rain-snow mix overnight as temperatures drop into the low 30s. Minor snow accumulation is possible, primarily on grassy or elevated surfaces.

Light snow showers will continue Thursday morning, with a high near 38°F, and taper off by mid-afternoon. Motorists should prepare for reduced visibility and slick patches, particularly during early morning commutes. Winds gusting up to 30 mph may also make travel hazardous.

By Friday, lake-effect rain showers will persist, with highs in the mid-40s. Saturday remains chilly with occasional rain showers and highs in the upper 40s. Roadways could remain damp through the weekend, so drivers should use caution.

Locals are advised to secure outdoor objects, monitor road conditions, and stay updated on weather alerts. Be prepared for fluctuating temperatures and potential delays due to weather-related issues on major routes.
