Indianapolis, IN – A brief warm-up is set to hit Indiana this weekend, with temperatures reaching the 60s and potentially nearing 70° by Sunday. According to the National Weather Service, the mild weather will continue into Monday before a cold front moves through mid-week, bringing temperatures back down to seasonal norms.

As temperatures climb over the weekend, Sunday will see highs around 63° to 69°, with lows hovering near 54°. However, Monday brings the possibility of showers and storms, and the National Weather Service has noted that strong storms cannot be ruled out, particularly in the afternoon. Highs on Monday will reach between 66° and 70°, with lows dropping to the low 40s.

Residents are also urged to prepare for a freeze warning tonight, as temperatures are expected to dip to near 32° in some areas. Tuesday will see cooler conditions with highs around 52° and lows in the upper 30s.
