Indianapolis, Indiana – Spotty rain Sunday is just the beginning for central Indiana as a wetter, stormier pattern takes hold through midweek — including a rainy Memorial Day night and possible thunderstorms by Tuesday evening.
According to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, a slight chance of sprinkles will develop Sunday afternoon as clouds increase. While Sunday’s high will stay near 67°F with light northeast winds, conditions begin to change by Monday night when a 50 percent chance of showers enters the region. Showers are expected to become more widespread and heavier by Tuesday, with thunderstorms possible by Tuesday night.

East and northeast Indiana counties, including Anderson and Muncie, may see heavier bursts of rain and stronger storms late Tuesday.
Memorial Day travelers should monitor updates closely, as Monday itself will be partly sunny with highs in the low 70s before showers roll in that evening. Temperatures through the week will stay springlike, peaking near 73°F by Thursday.
