Indianapolis, IN – Minimal snow is forecast for northern parts of Central Indiana overnight and into Saturday morning. Accumulations are expected to remain under half an inch.
According to the National Weather Service, snow showers may linger through Saturday morning with totals not exceeding one inch. While precipitation amounts are light, roads could become slick during the morning commute. Residents are advised to drive cautiously, especially in areas prone to freezing.
A strong cold front will follow the snow, bringing frigid temperatures beginning Sunday night. Lows are projected to fall below zero, with wind chills dipping well below zero through Tuesday. The coldest conditions are expected overnight Sunday and Monday, when frostbite risks rise significantly for exposed skin.
