South Bend, IN – A cold front will pass through Northern Indiana today, bringing breezy conditions and light rain or snow showers, especially early in the day. Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 40°F to 51°F before falling in the afternoon. Winds will pick up, but will begin to diminish overnight.
According to the National Weather Service, the weather will remain chilly through midweek, with temperatures falling below normal. Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy, and freeze conditions are possible, with lows ranging between 21°F and 25°F. Tuesday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and slightly warmer conditions, with temperatures reaching 38°F to 43°F.
The weather will remain unsettled on Wednesday as the cold front continues to impact the area. Showers are expected to develop throughout the day, with temperatures ranging from 42°F to 48°F. A bit of snow may mix with rain early in the morning, particularly in some areas, and continue into Wednesday night.
Residents are advised to prepare for fluctuating temperatures and possible hazardous driving conditions, especially in areas where rain and snow mix.
