Indianapolis, IN – The first day of spring in Indiana will feel anything but warm as cold, blustery conditions grip the region. Rain and snow showers are possible, especially in northern and eastern areas, though no major impacts are expected beyond wet roads.

According to the National Weather Service Indianapolis, temperatures will struggle to climb beyond the mid-40s today, with lows dipping into the upper 20s. Windy conditions will make it feel even colder.

By Friday, a brief warm-up is expected, with highs reaching the upper 50s under partly sunny skies. However, another cooldown follows on Saturday, with temperatures ranging from 47-58°F and lows near freezing.

While no significant winter weather threats are forecast, drivers in northern and eastern Indiana should remain cautious as light snow could mix with rain at times. Residents should dress warmly and prepare for gusty winds throughout the next few days.
