Lake County, IN – U.S. 41 in Lake County will undergo lane reductions for maintenance projects starting Thursday, October 24. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced that U.S. 41 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 133rd Avenue and 165th Avenue. This reduction will last for approximately three weeks, as crews work on two small structure repairs.
According to INDOT, the repairs are necessary to maintain infrastructure safety along this vital roadway. Commuters in the Cedar Lake area should expect delays and plan alternate routes if possible. The maintenance will impact a highly trafficked stretch of the highway, potentially causing congestion during peak hours.
