Lebanon, IN – Drivers on State Road 32 near Lebanon should expect lane closures and a traffic pattern shift starting Monday, Sept. 22, as part of a roadway expansion and realignment project.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), crews will begin work west of I-65 near County Road 250 West. The construction marks the first phase of a project designed to improve traffic flow and safety along the busy stretch of highway.
INDOT stated that lane closures and the new traffic pattern will remain in place through mid-March, weather permitting. The project is expected to impact commuters traveling between Lebanon, Boone County, and nearby interchanges with I-65.
Officials are encouraging drivers to plan ahead for possible delays, especially during peak travel times. Alternative routes may help reduce travel time for those commuting into Lebanon or connecting to major roadways.
Message boards and signage have been placed in the area to alert drivers of the changes. Motorists are advised to use caution in the work zone and watch for workers and shifting traffic patterns.
This project is part of a larger initiative by INDOT to enhance roadway safety and accommodate increased traffic in the region. Updates on progress and future phases will be shared as work continues.
