Bristow, IN – A section of State Road 145 in Perry County will reopen to limited traffic this week, as crews begin to restore access following a recent landslide.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the highway near Bristow is scheduled to reopen to a single lane of traffic on or around Tuesday, May 6, at approximately 3 p.m. The reopening will be regulated by a temporary traffic signal to ensure safe vehicle flow through the affected area.
The road has remained closed due to a landslide that significantly damaged the roadway. The lane restriction will allow travel to resume while long-term repairs continue. INDOT urges drivers to reduce speed, use caution through the work zone, and remain alert to crews operating in the area.
The department has not specified a timeline for full restoration of the roadway but emphasized the importance of reestablishing at least partial access as soon as possible. The temporary signal and one-lane configuration will remain in effect until further notice.
Motorists planning to travel through Perry County are advised to allow additional time and prepare for brief delays near the site south of Bristow.
