Lowell, IN – Motorists traveling on I-65 in northwest Indiana should prepare for overnight lane closures starting on or after Monday, March 24. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced that rolling slowdowns will take place between State Road 14 and U.S. 231 (mile markers 223-246) in Lake, Newton, and Jasper counties.
According to INDOT, these closures will occur nightly from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. for approximately five nights as crews work on removing previous temporary pavement markings. Additional overnight lane restrictions will continue as needed through June 2025 as part of an ongoing pavement restoration project. The work includes pavement patching, permanent pavement markings, and other finishing touches.
