Indianapolis, IN – Storms will continue across central Indiana through 9 a.m. today, bringing gusty winds, occasional lightning, and locally heavy rainfall. Residents from Greencastle to Bedford are advised to take caution as the storms move northeast at around 15 mph.
According to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, wind gusts could reach up to 40 mph, and pea-sized hail is possible. The storm is expected to taper off later this morning, but scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will persist throughout the day.
As we head into the weekend, central Indiana is likely to see continued wet conditions. A 30% chance of rain remains on Saturday with temperatures climbing to the mid-80s. Sunday brings a 50% chance of rain, along with cooler temperatures, with highs expected to be in the upper 70s.
