Fort Wayne, IN – A mix of rain, wind, and even some snow could disrupt weekend plans in northeast Indiana before a warming trend next week. Saturday starts with a chance of rain before clearing, while Sunday could bring a rain-snow mix before temperatures rebound midweek.

According to the National Weather Service, Fort Wayne will see a 30% chance of rain before 8 a.m. Saturday, followed by mostly sunny skies and a high of 43°F. Winds could gust up to 25 mph, making it feel cooler. Saturday night will be partly cloudy, with temperatures dipping to 27°F.

Sunday will bring the most significant weather shift, with rain likely in the morning, possibly mixed with snow before 11 a.m. Temperatures will climb to 49°F, but wind gusts up to 30 mph may create hazardous driving conditions. Rain is expected to continue into Sunday night, with an 80% chance of precipitation before tapering off.

On Monday, another round of mixed precipitation is possible, with a chance of snow in the morning before turning into light rain by the afternoon. Highs will reach 44°F, with partly sunny skies later in the day. The rest of the week looks drier, with highs climbing to the mid-50s by Thursday.

Drivers should prepare for slick roads Sunday morning, especially on major routes like I-69. Residents should also secure outdoor items due to gusty winds. Stay updated with local forecasts and check road conditions before heading out.
