Indianapolis, IN – Indianapolis detectives have arrested a 33-year-old man allegedly connected to at least three sexual assault cases reported in the city over the past month.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), North District officers first responded to a rape report in the 1900 block of East 35th Street in late November. Police say Sex Crimes detectives began an investigation and were called to the same area less than a week later for another reported rape. Detectives then discovered a similar case from early November that reportedly occurred in the same location.
Through what investigators described as “multiple investigative means,” officers linked all three cases and identified the same suspect.
Detectives later obtained a warrant to collect a DNA sample from the man. On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, IMPD’s Violent Crimes Unit located him in the 3500 block of Orchard Avenue and took him into custody. Police say he had a handgun, marijuana, and fake money during the arrest. According to IMPD, he also has prior felony convictions that prohibit him from possessing a firearm.
Following interviews with detectives, the man was arrested for rape with enhanced circumstances, possession of marijuana, and unlawful carrying of a handgun with a prior conviction. IMPD emphasized that all allegations remain accusations, and the suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
Investigators stressed that securing justice for survivors remains their priority and encouraged anyone with information to contact IMPD Sex Crimes detectives or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 262-TIPS.
