La Porte County, IN – A fatal single-vehicle crash early this morning claimed the life of a Westville man.
According to the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to State Road 2 and CR 500 West at 5:24 a.m. after a white 2015 Kia, driven by 62-year-old George M. Dobos, left the road and crashed into a tree at the intersection. Dobos was pronounced dead at the scene. Toxicology results are pending, and the investigation is ongoing.
Assisting agencies included the Westville Police Department, Scipio Township and Westville Volunteer Fire Departments, and La Porte County EMS.
