LaPorte, IN – A LaPorte man was arrested Thursday morning following a child exploitation investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies.

According to the Indiana State Police, Keith Allen Wilson, 58, was taken into custody after the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant in the 800 block of Ohio Street in LaPorte. Authorities said the investigation began when detectives received a Cyber Tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) linked to online activity involving a Google account allegedly associated with Wilson.

Wilson was booked into the LaPorte County Jail and is facing five preliminary felony charges, including four counts of possession of child pornography, a Level 5 felony, and one count of possession of child pornography, a Level 6 felony.

Additional charges may be filed, pending forensic analysis of electronic devices seized from the residence. Police also reportedly confiscated suspected narcotics during the search.

Assisting in the investigation were members of the Indiana State Police North SWAT, Homeland Security Investigations, and the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department. All individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
