Cincinnati, OH – The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Dense Fog Advisory across much of southwest Ohio, northern Kentucky, and southeast Indiana, warning of visibility dropping to a quarter mile or less through 10 a.m. EST Saturday.

The advisory affects a broad region including Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Maysville, Wilmington, and Portsmouth, as well as interstates I-71, I-75, and I-70. Fog is expected to be especially dense in valleys and near rivers, where calm winds have allowed moisture to settle overnight.

Forecasters caution drivers to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and increase following distances, as road visibility may change rapidly. The fog could make morning commutes hazardous, particularly across rural routes and bridges.

Conditions are expected to gradually improve by late morning as the fog lifts and sunlight returns. However, isolated pockets of low visibility may persist in shaded or low-lying areas.

The dense fog developed under clear skies and light winds—a setup typical for early November across the Ohio Valley.
