Paducah, KY – A severe thunderstorm watch has been extended across several counties in Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky, lasting until 9 PM CDT this evening.

The National Weather Service has updated Severe Thunderstorm Watch 135 to include additional areas, with threats of strong winds, hail, and heavy rain. In Indiana, five counties, including Posey, Gibson, Spencer, Vanderburgh, and Warrick, are under the watch. Cities such as Evansville and Boonville are expected to experience storm conditions.

In Illinois, 10 counties are affected, including Alexander, Gallatin, Hardin, and Williamson, with the potential for severe storms to impact areas like Cairo and Marion. Kentucky’s western counties, including Ballard, Caldwell, and Christian, are also under the watch, covering towns such as Henderson and Paducah.

The National Weather Service urges residents to stay alert, seek shelter in case of severe weather, and monitor local weather updates for any further warnings or advisories. Storms are expected to continue moving across the region throughout the afternoon and evening.
