Westfield, IN – Two Indianapolis brothers are facing multiple felony charges after a police investigation allegedly led to the seizure of drugs, firearms and cash in Hamilton County this week.

According to the Westfield Police Department, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), working with the Fishers Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) and other agencies, began an investigation into Anthony Castillo, 22, and Alexander Castillo, 21, for alleged drug dealing activities in the area. Police said the operation started with a traffic stop on Anthony Castillo as he traveled from Indianapolis to Westfield on Thursday.

A police K9 reportedly alerted officers to possible narcotics during the stop. A search of the vehicle allegedly turned up illegal substances, prompting SIU to obtain a search warrant for the brothers’ apartment in the 500 block of Broken Bow Trail in Indianapolis. According to police, the search, executed by SIU, CRU and IMPD later that evening, resulted in the recovery of 11 pounds of marijuana, 1.5 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, a bottle of Promethazine, a small amount of cocaine, hundreds of THC products, two firearms, and about $5,000 in cash.

Anthony Castillo was arrested and charged with two counts of Level 2 Felony Dealing in a Schedule I Controlled Substance, two counts of Level 2 Felony Dealing in a Narcotic Drug, and Level 5 Felony Dealing in Marijuana Over 10 Pounds. An arrest warrant for Alexander Castillo was issued July 16. Police allege that with the assistance of the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office, Alexander was located and arrested in the early morning hours of July 22. He faces several felony drug charges, including Level 2 and Level 3 Felony Possession and Dealing counts.

Police emphasize that all individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office.
