According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, the crash occurred near 963 Worthsville Rd. around 3:54 p.m. Tactical Dive Rescue Team 7 from Indianapolis was deployed to assist Greenwood Fire Department’s subsurface operations after the vehicle submerged in the pond.
Greenwood Fire personnel pulled one adult from the vehicle shortly after the crash. That person was the sole confirmed occupant and was pronounced dead at the scene. No additional individuals were found following a secondary dive search and a sweep of the vehicle before it was removed from the water.
