St. John, IN – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced a public hearing to discuss the proposed construction of a roundabout at the intersection of U.S. 231 and Parrish Ave. The hearing will take place on Thursday, July 11, at St. John Town Hall, located at 10955 W 93rd Ave. An open house for questions will start at 5 p.m., followed by a formal presentation at 6 p.m.

According to the INDOT, the proposed project includes dual lane approaches on U.S. 231 and single lane approaches on Parrish Ave. The primary objective is to reduce crash potential and user delays at the intersection. Public statements will be recorded as part of the official hearing procedure.

The hearing will provide residents with an opportunity to learn more about the project and express their views. The roundabout is expected to improve traffic flow and enhance safety at the busy intersection. Residents are encouraged to attend the open house to ask questions and provide input on the project.

For those unable to attend, the INDOT will accept written statements and comments.
