Lake County, IN – Lane closures and ramp restrictions on I-94 and I-65 will affect drivers in Lake County through late November. Rieth Riley Construction began concrete patching from State Road 53/Broadway to 61st Avenue on I-65 on Sunday, impacting major thoroughfares.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), I-65 will be reduced to two lanes in both directions between I-94 and 61st Avenue. The ramp from I-94 eastbound to I-65 southbound will also be limited to one lane. Although ramps at the I-94 and I-65 interchange will remain accessible, drivers can expect potential delays.
Motorists should anticipate lane closures between 61st Avenue and U.S. 30 overnight as necessary during construction. INDOT advises travelers to allow extra time and exercise caution. Motorists should follow directions carefully and stay focused while navigating through the work zones. The agency aims to complete the concrete patching by late November.
