Orange County, IN – A domestic disturbance in West Baden on Friday night led to an alleged vehicle crash and an arrest for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, authorities say.

According to the Indiana State Police Jasper Post, Trooper Noah Ewing and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in West Baden Springs on Friday, July 4, for a reported domestic disturbance. Officials allege that upon arrival, the suspect, Brandan S. Creeden, 37, had already left the scene and subsequently crashed the vehicle he was driving.

Police say the Orange County Sheriff’s Office located the crashed vehicle while en route to the residence. Creeden allegedly returned to the original scene after the crash. Emergency medical services treated Creeden at the location, and Trooper Ewing reported that Creeden showed visible signs of impairment.

According to law enforcement, Creeden was transported to IU Health Hospital in Paoli for a chemical test and medical clearance. He was then allegedly arrested and taken to the Orange County Jail, where he remains held on bond. Creeden faces a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor.

Officials note that all criminal defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
