Fort Wayne, IN – Residents in northern Indiana are waking up to patchy fog this morning, particularly in northwest Indiana where weekend rainfall was heaviest. Drivers are urged to use caution as reduced visibility may affect the Monday morning commute.

According to the US National Weather Service Northern Indiana, the region will shift to tranquil, dry, and warm conditions after the fog lifts. High temperatures today are expected to range from 82 to 87 degrees.

On Monday, forecasters predict plenty of sunshine with highs reaching 83 to 87 degrees, offering a pleasant start to the workweek. Tuesday will continue the warm, dry pattern, with highs between 84 and 88 degrees and clear skies expected.

Rain chances are projected to return toward the end of the week, but until then, northern Indiana will enjoy stable weather with above-average warmth for mid-September.

Motorists in areas of dense fog this morning are advised to allow extra travel time and use low-beam headlights. Conditions are expected to improve as the sun rises.
