New Lenox, IL – A lively evening of music, food, and fireworks is set to light up the Village Commons as New Lenox hosts its annual Independence Day Celebration on Friday, July 4, 2025.

The event begins at 6 p.m., featuring a live performance by Billy Gray Music, followed by patriotic tunes from the Joliet American Legion Band as the community anticipates a fireworks display scheduled for approximately 9:15 p.m. The celebration is free and open to guests of all ages.

According to the New Lenox Community Park District, attendees can enjoy food and non-alcoholic beverages from the on-site concession stand, with food trucks Drew’s Dogs and Los Razo’s Mexican Grill offering additional options. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome and encouraged for seating on the Village Commons lawn.

A portion of Veterans Parkway will be closed to traffic for the event. While parking is available near the New Lenox Public Library and Old Plank Trail Community Bank, guests are strongly encouraged to use the free parking at the Route 30 Metra Station at 201 N.
