Indianapolis, IN – A 25-year-old man was arrested Saturday after allegedly robbing three individuals at gunpoint in the 3000 block of North Central Avenue. IMPD North District officers responded just before 4 p.m., speaking with victims who reported the armed robbery.
According to IMPD, the suspect, later identified as Joe Eddie Ross III, fled into a nearby home before running from officers. During the chase, Ross reportedly tossed a handgun with an extended magazine. He was apprehended with the assistance of an IMPD K-9 unit.
Police confirmed Ross is prohibited from possessing a firearm. He was arrested on charges of robbery, resisting arrest, and unlawful possession of a firearm. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will determine formal charges.
Ross remains innocent unless proven guilty in court.
