Chicago, Ill. – A stretch of mild, mostly dry weather is expected across Illinois and southern Wisconsin during the spring break travel window, helping keep roads clear and minimizing disruptions.

According to the National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center, this region will see near-normal to slightly above-normal temperatures from March 24 through March 30, while precipitation trends remain near normal but limited in overall impact. That pattern supports extended dry periods with only isolated rain chances.

Across Chicago, Rockford, Milwaukee, and Madison, daytime highs will reach the 50s to near 60 degrees, with mornings in the 30s and low 40s. Major corridors including I-90, I-94, and I-39 are expected to remain mostly dry, supporting steady travel across state lines.

Drivers should remain aware of patchy morning fog and occasional damp spots on shaded roads, particularly in low-lying areas, but widespread hazards are not expected. Daytime travel will offer the best visibility and conditions.

For baseball fans across Illinois and Wisconsin, including those following the Cubs, White Sox, and Brewers, the opening stretch of the season should feature comfortable weather, with light jackets likely sufficient.

This stable pattern is expected to hold through late March, with only minor changes possible heading into early April.
