La Porte County, IN – A high-speed chase on the Indiana Toll Road ended with two arrests after a driver fled from police.
According to the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office, a Highway Interdiction Deputy attempted a traffic stop on a speeding white Jaguar at the 62-mile marker. The driver refused to stop, leading to a pursuit that extended to the 72-mile marker before police terminated it.
Minutes later, a Flock camera spotted the Jaguar traveling west on US 20. Deputies located the car at SR 39, but the driver fled again. The pursuit continued onto I-94, where the vehicle eventually stopped at the 28-mile marker.
The driver, identified as Titus D. Long, 30, of Chicago, ran into a wooded area. A passenger, Adena R. Drury, 28, of Milwaukee, was taken into custody nearby. A helicopter from the Lake County Sheriff’s Aviation Unit assisted officers in tracking Long, who was later captured after a K-9 bite.
Both suspects were taken to the hospital before being booked into La Porte County Jail. Long faces felony and misdemeanor charges, while Drury faces a misdemeanor charge.
