Chicago, IL – Two rounds of unsettled weather are on the way for northern Illinois as fall storms bring rain, wind, and cooler air through early next week. According to the National Weather Service in Chicago, the first system arrives Friday night through Sunday, delivering steady rainfall and scattered thunderstorms, especially east of Interstate 55.

Rain chances climb to 70–90% Saturday, with lingering showers Sunday morning before breezy, cooler air settles in. Temperatures will fall from the mid-70s Saturday to the upper 50s by Sunday.

A second storm system will follow Monday into Tuesday, bringing gusty winds and another temperature drop. Highs will cool to the mid-50s, with overnight lows dipping into the 30s by midweek.

Locals heading to outdoor events — including No Kings Rally Weekend — should dress appropriately and plan for wet and breezy conditions, especially Saturday afternoon and evening.
