Manteno, IL – A serious crash involving two semi-trucks was reported this morning near Manteno, prompting law enforcement to urge drivers to avoid the area east of the village.
According to the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at the intersection of 5000 East Road and 9000 North Road, just east of Manteno. The incident, reported minutes ago, is currently being managed by emergency responders. No details have been released regarding injuries or possible road closures at this time.
Motorists traveling in northern Kankakee County should seek alternate routes as crews work to clear the scene and assess the situation. The sheriff’s office emphasized that traffic disruptions are likely as investigations continue.
