Danville, IL – A high-speed chase through Danville early Friday morning ended in a crash and the arrest of two individuals, including a juvenile, after a vehicle allegedly fled from police during a traffic stop.
According to a release from the Danville Police Department, officers observed a car without headlights at approximately 12:36 a.m. near Fairchild Street and Griffin Street. The officer reported that the vehicle did not come to a complete stop before the intersection, prompting a traffic stop near Griffin Street and Knox Drive. According to police, Thomas was treated by medical staff before being booked into the Vermilion County Jail on preliminary charges including aggravated fleeing and eluding, criminal damage to property over $500, and obstructing/resisting a peace officer. The juvenile was also booked on an obstructing/resisting charge and later released to a family member.
