Country Club Hills, IL – A major crash closed all southbound lanes of Interstate 57 early Sunday morning near Vollmer Road, causing significant delays for morning commuters.
According to Illinois State Police, the crash occurred around 4:48 a.m. just north of Vollmer Road in the south suburbs. Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene, where at least one person reportedly suffered serious injuries.
