Johnson County, IL – A strong EF-2 tornado with peak winds of 115 mph tore through Johnson County early Saturday, leaving a 15.9-mile path of destruction.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, Kentucky, the tornado touched down at 1:15 a.m. and dissipated at 1:31 a.m. The twister had a maximum width of 100 yards, carving a distinct track through the region.
