Chicago, IL – Illinois State Police (ISP) arrested 53-year-old Carol Henton of Robbins, IL, on March 29, 2025, after she allegedly filed a false police report regarding an expressway shooting. The incident occurred on March 28, 2025, on Interstate 94 southbound near 111th Street in Chicago.

ISP Troop 3 units responded to the report of a shooting on the expressway, where Henton claimed that her vehicle had been shot at during a road rage incident involving another car. However, ISP investigators determined no shooting took place after conducting a thorough investigation. The investigation revealed that Henton’s account of the shooting was false.
