
Bloomington, IL – Sheriff Matt Lane of McLean County released a statement addressing public concerns regarding his stance on immigration enforcement. The statement clarified that no plans exist to send deputies into schools to seize children.
According to Sheriff Lane, his office has not and will not refuse assistance to federal agencies handling criminal matters that threaten public safety. Lane emphasized that both state and federal laws will guide the sheriff’s office’s enforcement actions.
