Chicago, Illinois – Tuesday – A new campaign ad highlights Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s stance against federal immigration enforcement in Illinois.

JB for Governor released the television ad titled “Out of Hand,” featuring Illinois residents voicing support for Pritzker’s response to federal immigration activity across the state. The campaign said the ad will air on Chicago broadcast and cable television, along with digital platforms statewide.

According to the campaign, the ad focuses on what it describes as federal overreach and increased Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in Illinois. Several Illinois residents appear in the spot criticizing ICE actions and praising the governor’s response.

In the ad, Pritzker addresses former President Donald Trump directly, stating, “You’re dead wrong Mr. President. I will stand up for the law and the Constitution. That’s what we do in the state of Illinois.”

The campaign said Pritzker has opposed what it calls the “unconstitutional agenda” of the Trump administration, citing the establishment of the Illinois Accountability Commission and public statements criticizing federal immigration enforcement efforts.

The ad also contrasts Pritzker’s approach with Republican candidates, who the campaign claims support Trump’s immigration policies.

The 30-second spot includes multiple Illinois residents expressing concern about immigration enforcement activity and voicing support for the governor’s actions.

The ad rollout comes as immigration policy remains a central political issue statewide and nationally, particularly in urban areas such as Chicago where enforcement activity has drawn public attention. The issue may also be relevant to students and young workers in communities affected by enforcement operations.

The campaign did not disclose the total cost of the advertising buy.
